Course Scheduling Analysis

The UH System partnered with Ad Astra who provides data-informed software solutions and professional services to effectively allocate space and faculty resources, forecast student demand, and accelerate student completions to complete a Strategic Scheduling CheckUp™, a customized institutional analysis of instructional capacity and course offerings.

This checkup analyzes instructional capacity and historical course offerings and suggests opportunities for change that can impact enrollment behavior and success rates of students as well as the effective use of teaching resources.

Nine UH campuses were visited in Fall 2016 and provided recommendations on reduction and/or elimination of courses/sections; additional courses/sections to be added to address bottlenecks; considerations to better utilize course scheduling time blocks.
