HGI Strategic Directions Measures

The Hawai‘i Graduation Initiative (HGI) focuses on increasing the number of educated citizens within the state of Hawaiʻi, particularly those from underserved populations and regions. HGI’s overarching goal is to meet the Statewide P-20 goal of increasing the percentage of Hawaiʻi’s population with an associate’s or bachelor’s from the current low 40% range to 55% by 2025. Its strategies are intimately tied to six of ten UH Strategic Direction measures below and represent the University’s commitment to support increased student participation and completion. In addition to the measures and goals, a dynamic dashboard is available to help us better understand who is being retained, who is graduating and who is continuing their education at another institution.
