The Hawai‘i State Legislature provided $6.3 million for UH to create a performance funding system. Six measures that aligned with the UH Strategic Directions were established and targeted goals were set. The results were positive in this first year of implementation, with most campuses exceeding or making progress toward their goals. In fact, the number of degrees and certificates awarded by UH campuses in FY 2015-16 reached an all-time high of 11,680.
The $6.3 million were distributed to campuses:
|UH Mānoa||$3.4 million|
|UH West Oʻahu||$455,658|
