Welcome to the iTeach@Manoa blog. This blog will provide information, resources, and support for faculty interested in teaching with technology, distance education, and in innovative classrooms. In this blog we will be posting current articles on educational technology including theory, place-based techno-pedagogy, in addition to practical tips for integrating technology in meaningful ways into your teaching practice. Ideally, this blog would function as an online community of practice faculty may read, and contribute to as they further develop their practice teaching online or with technology.
Here at the Center for Teaching Excellence, we have faculty experienced in teaching online courses at the University of Hawai’i Mānoa who understand the pedagogical methods and technology tools necessary to engage students in synchronous and asynchronous environments. We are able to assist you in organizing your content in addition to navigating the spectrum of mediums and methods available. If you are interested in starting to teach online while maintaining social connections with your students, or have already been teaching online and looking to update activities, this is the community of practice you are looking for.
