Keiki in grades K-5 and their ‘ohan are invited to participate in the Super Enrichment Saturday uner this year’s theme of “He Kahua No Ka Hāli‘a: A Foundation for Fond Memories”. The idea is for keiki and makua to join together to create wonderful memories.

The first SES will be held at Hilo One (Bayfront Park) for a morning of water adventures as we explore the topic of Water Men – Thne and Now. Keiki and parents will learn the history of both sailing and paddling canoes (wa’a). Take a ride together on a sailing canoe and learn to paddle a wa’a. Experience for yourself the modern day sport of stand up paddle board (‘ukana).

Your fond memories will be created and captured on video by student videographers from Kamehameha School. This video remembrance or our morning will be shown on our local cable channel. So get your swim gear on and join us for a memory making morning!

Kindergartners must be accompanied by an adult for this Saturday. We highly recommend that parents/gaurdian accompany their keiki of all ages to this Super Saturday, but it is not mandatory. Safety will be our greatist priority so life jackets will be provided for all keiki.

Registration will start at 7:30 am at Hilo One (Bayfront Park). Exact location at Bayfront will be mailed to you in a reminder card by September 25th. Please come dressed in swim wear and bring extra dry clothes, a towel, a hat, suncreen and a healthy snack. Water will be provided. Dismissal willl be at 12 noon.
