As the Fall 2011 semester approaches, it’s time to get ready for students and classes! Here are three mini-workshops that will help you get prepared. They will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. If you need additional information or have questions please call Annie Maeda at 974-7491.
12 noon -1:00 p.m. “The First Day of Class: What to do?”
This workshop will be discussing setting the tone of the class and providing an overview of what will take place in the class throughout the semester.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m “Preparing a Syllabus”
This workshop will discuss elements that should be included in syllabi.
3:00 – 4:00 p.m “Cultural Foundations for Student Success”
Taopouri Tangaro will be conducting the last workshop. This presentation will help HawCC personnel as we work with our multicultural population of students.
All three workshops will all be held at Bldg. 388 Room 103 as well as in W. HI in Bldg. 4, Rooms 1 & 2.
