The “Japan Club”

THE JAPAN CLUB NEEDS YOUR HELP IN RECRUITING HAWCC STUDENTS TO JOIN THEIR MEMBERSHIP:

Aloha mai kakou!

The “Japan Club” is an official club of Hawaii Community College. The club members are mainly students from Hawaii Community College. It is necessary to organize the club minimum to 75% of Hawaii Community College students, however, we are able to accept the people from the community. This club was formed in reaction to the massive earthquake and tsunami, which happened on March 11th, 2011. We felt as though we must to do something to try and help people, and our country, so we started a campaign to make cranes at Hawaii Community College, called “Ganbare Japan.” During this event, we realized how important it is to help and support each other. This is how we started our club, now called “Japan Club.” Everyone who is interested in the Japanese culture can join this club!!

The purpose of this club is;
-to help Japanese students on campus to connect with each other
-to involve the local community to share culture and knowledge
-to have fun attending various events (Japanese language classes, cooking classes, arts and crafts, martial arts, music, karaoke, bon-dance and more…)
