Community Leader and entrepreneur Paul S. Honda established the Honda Grant to provide funding for activities that support international activities at the University of Hawaii Community Colleges.
The pilot project was publicized through email to chancellors and the International Education Committee. The goal was to award up to 1 proposal per campus, with a maximum of $5,000 per award. Three grant proposals were received and all three were awarded. Based on the proposal’s minimum qualifications and evaluation scores, the committee recommended all three proposals be awarded the grant.
