The students at the West Hawaiʻi campus are also participating in the Local First Program. The students are able to plan, prepare, and deliver a meal with 100% locally grown ingredients.
The West Hawaiʻi students prepares for Local First by visiting local sites, which includes the Big Island Abalone, the Local Orchid, and the Kona Cold Lobster Farm.
