Hawaiʻi Community College’s 24th Annual Earth Day Fair was held at the Manono Campus on Friday, April 20, 2012.
The Earth Day Fair is Hawaii Community College’s largest event and outreach to community members. This year, there were exhibits, entertainment, educational activities and giveaways. The community members and students who attended were able to participate in face painting, crafts and tours. There was a presentation by Jesse Law – The Life Cycle of a Plastic Bottle, as well as featured performances by Hawaii Community College’s Unukupukupu, a trash fashion show by Hawaii Community College’s students, Japan Club dancers, Tahitian and Samoan dancers, music by Ras Sparrow, IBIS with Dave Seawater and One Journey.
The Earth Day Fair was a great celebration that provided important environmental news and education to Big Island’s community members.
