Mahalo for Supporting International Education IEP Students

HawCC has continued to make significant progress in pursuing our international education goals. The International Education Committee couldn’t do it without the support of HawCC students, faculty, staff, and the local community.

Mahalo to the International Education Committee

The International Education Committee was granted standing committee status in December 2010. From Fall 2011, our committee began meeting. We are dedicated to promoting international education (IE) on our campus. I would like to offer a big MAHALO to the committee membership, Steven Clements, Gabe James, Kamaka Gunderson, Violet Murakami, Pam Scheffler, and Noe Noe Wong-Wilson.

IEPTogether we:

  • planned International Education Week November 14 to 18, 2011, collected data for submission to the UHCC International Education Report
  • created a process for faculty led-study abroad programs through process established by the Madison College Capacity Building for Study Abroad grant which was obtained for our campus by Dr. Scheffler
  • created a new international website for Study Abroad  http://hawaii.hawaii.edu/study-abroad/
