Mahi‘ai students bring kō syrup to Maui

Hawai’i Community College’s mahiʻai students traveled to the 21st Annual Taro Festival in Hana Maui on April 19 for their capstone project. They offered a kō syrup. The kō was one of the first plants that students moved from the old Mala site three semesters ago. “We are proud to take an example of PLANT to PRODUCT,” Karla Sibayan wrote in an email.
