The International Education Committee is hosting two days of activities to stimulate and inspire you to learn more about our global community on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14.
This year’s theme is “Global Sense” with activities that focus on experiencing the world through our five senses. Make your own drum and learn different drumming techniques with Kamaka Gunderson and Andrey Chan! Learn how to do calligraphy and mochi pounding with our students from the Japan Club! Learn about the exciting adventures and research Pam Scheffler (Forest TEAM program) and Violet Murakami (DMA program) experienced during their travels to India and Japan! These are only a few of the exciting activities we have planned for the week.
We are still accepting photographs for our Photo Contest! Submit a photograph of an international or cultural event to Violet Murakami by November 1st, and have your picture displayed during International Education Week (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Do you love to cook and want to share some of your internationally themed cuisine? Submit a recipe to include in our International Cookbook and get a FREE copy! Recipe submissions can be sent to email@example.com (Kamaka Gunderson) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Elizabeth Niemeyer).
For more information, please contact Elizabeth Niemeyer, 937-2720 or email@example.com
See you there!!
