47th Model Home dedicated May 15

On Thursday, May 15, 2014 Hawai’i Community College hosted a dedication ceremony for the Model Home that students built during the academic year. The 2014 home — which is the 47th Model Home that students from the college have built since the project began in 1965 — is located in Keaukaha. Six Hawai’i CC programs collaborate on the project: Architectural, Engineering and CAD Technologies; Diesel Mechanics; Carpentry; Electrical Installation and Maintenance Technology; Agriculture; and Hawai’i Life Styles. The homes are built on Hawaiian Home Lands for a Native Hawaiian family.
