As of January 3, 2011 there is a fee of $7 per semester  for medical service. Go to the UH Hilo Business Office to pick up forms and make payment.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo’s Student Medical Services (SMS) is staffed by a full-time nurse practitioner and a part-time physician. Services include medical care, prescriptions, first aid, health education, tuberculin tests and immunizations. The Family Planning Clinic, located within the SMS, offers pelvic exams, contraceptive methods, and testing for pregnancy and sexually-transmitted diseases for men and women.
