Hilo Begins Chancellor Search

Hilo announced it will begin its search for a new chancellor. Chancellor Rose Tseng will step down at the conclusion of her term of appointment on June 30, 2010.

Okimoto Receives Telecommunications Award

System Director of Academic Technologies Hae Okimoto was honored with the Richard Jonsen Award for Service to the Educational Telecommunications Community.

Managing Disaster

The university was selected by the Department of Defense to negotiate a new cooperative agreement as the managing partner for the Pacific Disaster Center on Maui.

Mānoa’s Curriculum Research and Development Group published Hāpai nā Leo, edited by Education Associate Bill Teter. From the powerful opening words of the Kumulipo to the propulsive rhymes of contemporary slam poetry, Hāpai nā Leo celebrates a diverse range of voices that explore, carry and regenerate Hawaiian culture.
