Office of Research Services (ORS)
The Office of Research Services strives to provide effective and efficient services to facilitate the stewardship of extramural funded activities and to promote innovation and creativity in partnership with the sponsors, university administrators and distinguished researchers in the University of Hawai’i System.

Most grants submitted to the federal government (e.g., USDOE) through UHM must be submitted electronically through myGRANT.

Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research awards intramurally financed research grants, and provides funding for travel to professional meetings.

University of Hawaii Committee on Human Studies
The Committee on Human Studies is the unit designated to function as the federally mandated Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the University of Hawaii (UH) system. This responsibility extends to all research involving human subjects by professors, researchers, students, and others affiliated with the University of Hawaii or using UH personnel, staff, or students. This applies to all research involving human subjects whether funded or not.

Manoa Faculty Research Booklet
Publication from the Center for Teaching Excellence.  Summary of a series of focus groups with two goals: (1) to share what was learned in the groups to help Honors students better understand how faculty from a full-range of disciplines conduct research and how they experience and perceive the process, and (2) to inform faculty about first-year course offerings in the Honors Program and to consider ways faculty could be involved — being guest speakers or hosting students in their laboratories or studios for Honors, or even teaching a section of Honors 101.
