PACON International Chapters may be organized in any locale where there are ten (10) or more members to sustain the organization.
Membership is open to marine scientists, engineers, policy-makers, and anyone interested in the ocean and/or marine environment. The backing or support of an academic institution or governmental agency is preferred, but not mandatory.
Each chapter shall have the following officers who must also be members of PACON International:
(a) Chapter Chair
(b) Chapter Vice-Chair
(c) Chapter Secretary
(d) Chapter Treasurer
(e) Membership Chair
Except for the Chapter Chair and Chapter Vice-Chair, a Chapter Officer may hold one or more offices in a PACON Chapter.
If you are a PACON member interested in forming a Chapter in your region, and you have a minimum of ten (10) members, please submit your request to the PACON Secretariat at email@example.com. Subject to the approval of the Executive Committee, the Past-President shall authorize, upon receipt of a formal request from the member, a chapter-in-formation status.
