Boogie Boarding

There are lots of ways to enjoy your time in Hawaii when not studying.  Try boogie boarding, an easier version of surfing.  Almost anybody can do it.  Boards are cheap at $25 – 40, and you can rent one in Waikiki for around $5.  Swim out a ways and when you see a wave coming, turn around, and kick, kick, kick! The best beaches for beginners are Bellows (open to the public on the weekends), “The Wall” at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki (across from Kapahulu Ave.), and if you like really gentle waves, Kailua or Lanikai Beach.  Here are three different boogie boarding videos.  Pick your own speed!
