Big Island Volcano Trip, the perfect trip for avid geology majors!

Fellow Geology major Kelsey Meisenhelder and I sat on top of a hot, steaming vent from an older lava lake on Hilo, Hawaii. We also got to see a sulfur dioxide cloud glow red at night out of the active Kilauea volcano. Here, we’re wearing our gear – University of Hawaii football tee shirt and our home school (Haverford College) t-shirt that says “GOT NUTS?” (Our mascot is the Black Squirrel). Represent!! Sept 24-25!
