Little lessons in charity

children with food donations

Although I couldn’t greet them personally, I was cheered by the sound of children singing in the Bachman Hall lobby yesterday. Youngsters from the UH Mānoa Children’s Center delivered their donations to the growing stash collected by system administration offices for the Hawaiʻi Food Bank.

UH campuses across the state are major contributors to their respective island food drives through individual donations, bake sales and friendly competitions like the “Battle for Bachman.”
