Carnival entertains more than 200 keiki

The Annual HOME/FMIG Halloween Carnivals were held on October 29th and 31st and were really fun events for all involved. Medical students, faculty, friends and family all came together to provide a special celebration for over 200 children and their families. Some highlights included bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, ice cream floats and even photo ops with Chewbacca and Optimus Prime!

HOME and FMIG really appreciate all the people that supported this year’s event. Members of the JABSOM community contributed items like candy to fill goodie bags to be distributed to the children at the Kaka’ako Next Step Shelter, the Pai’olu Kaiaulu Shelter in Waiʻanae and even the Onelau’ena and Onemalu Shelters at Kalaeloa. Even more people volunteered their time to prepare food, man the various booths and spend time with the residents of the shelter. FMIG and HOME would like to thank everyone for their continued support of our organizations and this event!
