It’s usual for medical students to be harried, but now some of them were both harried and hairy during November. The men, particularly, who grew moustaches and beards to take part in “Movember“, the nationwide movement to raise awareness and money to promote men’s health.
Pictured are supporters who contributed to the cause, some by growing facial hair and collecting pledges, or–in the case of our female students–proudly sporting mock moustaches to show their dedication to the effort. Participants are designated official “Mo-Bro’s”, and they seek financial sponsors for their Mo-Growing efforts. Money they raise goes primarily to promote prostate cancer screening along with the need for men to be mindful of their overall health by getting annual checkups.
The website to learn more about the annual November fundraising–and hair raising–effort is Movember.com.
