We’ve tweeted the fabulous “breaking news item” about altruistic (not to mention, smart) rats, but the story is just too good not to share in a more attention-getting spot, here on our page. After all, this — the University of Hawai’i medical school — is, we are proud to say, where Ryuzo Yanagimachi and his team cloned the first mouse, not to mention produced the first transgenic green glowing (pictured) mice. (Read about that from the BBC, 1999.)
So, the new story about rats comes to the world from the University of Chicago. And, well, you just have to read the coverage, including this linked report in The Chicago Tribune.
Enjoy the read!
