VIDEO–UH Students who fell in love with medicine (and each other) match as couples

Men and women in the John A. Burns School of Medicine’s Class of 2012 have passed one of two milestones on their way to the next journey in life. They have their Match Day assignments in hand, as do the 16,000 other U.S. medical students who also learned on March 16 where they will begin their careers as MDs while training in their preferred specialty area.

The next step is Graduation and, on Mother’s Day, The MD Convocation at Kennedy Theater at UH Manoa.

Among the 66 members of our 2012 graduating class are two couples who will be sharing their future as MDs together. Thomas Noh and Iris Kim and Class President Daniel Sugai and his fiancé, Erina Matsumoto met while studying at JABSOM. In the video above, Sugai and Matsumoto discuss the life journey that began at JABSOM.

You can see and hear from Thomas and Iris in our video, “The Moment”, at http://blog.hawaii.edu/uhmednow/2012/03/16/live-video-match-day-2012-the-moment/
