Third-year medical students at the University of Hawai`i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) brush up on CPR skills before they head to hospital and clinic training sites around the state, signaling the beginning of their clinical training years on the road to becoming MDs.
Our “MS-3′s”, as they’re called (for “medical student three”), began their studies at JABSOM in July 2010. Currently, they are performing clinical rotations at medical centers and clinics from `Ele`ele on Kaua`i to Hilo on Hawai`i Island. These students will graduate as MDs in 2014.
Our video was recorded during July 2012, in the Medical Education Building’s Classroom 314, at the JABSOM Kaka`ako campus, by Tina Shelton.
