Many JABSOM, UH employees off week of March 25-29 to realize salary and fuel savings

In support of continuing efforts to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, the University of Hawai’i System offices and campuses statewide will be reducing or suspending operations on non-instructional days during the week of March 25-29, 2013.

System offices and the Kaka’ako Medical Office Building (MEB) will also be closed on Tuesday, March 26, in observance of Prince Kuhio Day, and on Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday.

More details and specific information on how individual campus functions and activities may be affected are available online at http://www.hawaii.edu/news/closures.html, and for JABSOM (John A. Burns School of Medicine) specifically, see our Green Days calendar at Kaka’ako Green Days Calendar.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support as we work to realize salary savings with the cooperation of our employees represented by HGEA and UPW and reduce energy costs while also being mindful of our service responsibilities as a public institution.
