Thanks to generous corporate support from HMSA and The Queen’s Medical Center, alumni can earn up to 3.5 credits at a FREE CME Conference during Alumni Weekend. Organized by the 30th and 25th reunion classes, the conference, Speaking From Our Na’au: Passionate Perspectives From the Medical Frontline After 20+ Years, on Saturday morning, July 27, will feature presentations by members of the classes of 1983 and 1988 on eight different topics. Click on the link above to view the brochure and see a full list of speakers and topics.
At 5:00 p.m. the party starts rocking with wine, pupu, and optional tours of the Medical Education Building and new UH Cancer Center. Next up – food stations by Executive Private Chefs Kanani Lincoln and Noah Blair of Hale ‘Aina Catering and entertainment by Soul Patrol, Ev Fox and other talented JABSOM docs. All of this will be under the stars on the lawn at JABSOM’s beautiful Kaka`ako campus.
The party is open to all JABSOM MD alumni, but those alumni graduating in years ending in 3 or 8 will want to make a special effort to come. Members of these 5-year anniversary classes will receive special acknowledgement.
Past `Imi Ho`ōla participants will also want to mark their calendars for Friday, July 26. That evening they’ll gather at Wai`alae Country Club at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate – in grand style – the program’s 40th anniversary.
Chairman, Jayson Takata (c/o 1991) invites you to visit the RECONNECT 2013 website today for details about all the Alumni Weekend activities, to see who’s already signed up and to register. Act fast! The first ten classes with eight or more registered attendees will receive one reserved table each.
