The Ping Pong tournament is just one of the events that pit members of the first-year MD class against those in the second-year class during a weekend of action that began on Aloha Friday.

Traditionally, we are told, the 2nd year class wins. But this year, with at least three former NCAA athletes in the Class of 2017, the freshmen physicians-to-be might have an advantage.

The Class of 2016, though, certainly has spirit–some had masking tape pseudonyms slapped on the back of their “2016” tee-shirts…including “Papa Smurf and “Puff Daddy”.

Other events include track races and even pictionary, so — as usual — our awesome medical students are drawing upon the skills from both halves of their brains!

UH Med (and UH Manoa Senior) photojournalist Deborah Manog shot and edited this video of the tennis tourney highlights. You may also view by clicking directly on UHMED Vimeo.
