Pink is everywhere, as the our medical studentsʻ Family Medicine Interest Group and Women’s Interest Group raise money to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the University of Hawai`i’s John A. Burns School of Medicine helps raise money to support survivor services and breast cancer research. It is also an opportunity for our students to remind visitors to the Kūlia Grill how important it is to regularly check themselves and, when appropriate, to get regular medical screening to prevent or detect breast cancer early. Supporters donated baked goods for the student health area interest groups to offer for sale in the medical schoolʻs cafeteria. Mahalo!
