The 29,000 entrants in the 2013 Honolulu Marathon included five from the John A. Burns School of Medicine’s Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology. Even better, they also finished the 26-2 mile race! One even completed the run in just over three hours, which is remarkable considering the overall first place winner took two hours 18 minutes and 47 seconds to wrap up the race.
