Willed Body Ceremony is Saturday, April 12 at UH Mānoa ballroom

The annual Willed Body Ceremony sponsored by the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) will be held at the UH Mānoa Campus Center Ballroom on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

The annual ceremony allows JABSOM MD students, faculty and staff to honor those who gave their bodies to our anatomy program. Their gift helps further medical knowledge, and the families and friends of the body donors find this ceremony a beautiful, meaningful tribute. For donors who so requested, our medical students provide the scattering of ashes offshore. That customarily follows the ceremony, in the afternoon, off Magic Island on O`ahu. The Willed Body Program Ceremony has become so well-attended that it has been moved from JABSOM Kaka`ako to the larger UH Mānoa ballroom.
