Cafe Waiola at The Curb hosted its first “Latte Art Throw Down” on Saturday night (January 25) on the ground floor of the Medical Education Building at the John A. Burns School of Medicine.
“Baristas from different shops around town showcased their skills, while working together to improve the craft,” said Sumner Ohye, purveyor of The Curb.
The event was free, open to the public and the baristas gave away all the lattes for cafe visitors to sample.
The celebration of lattes was sponsored by Rusty’s Hawaiian and Espresso Parts.
The Curb is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
