CME at JABSOM Starts the Day
The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Kaka`ako, in the Medical Education Building Auditorium with an optional Continuing Medical Education (CME) session entitled “Specialty Updates for the Non-Specialist,” presented by the 25th Anniversary Class of 1989. Lunch and tours of the Medical Education Building and UH Cancer Center will follow at noon.
Reconnect at the Zoo 3 p.m.-7 p.m.
Then get ready for food, friends and fun at the Honolulu Zoo from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. This year, co-chairs Libby Char (Class of 1991) and Ron Wong (Class of 1981) and their committee have planned a laid-back, family-friendly affair. Bring the kids and enjoy the shave ice reception and guided zoo tours. Then stay for the ono clam bake and lively entertainment.
The party’s open to all JABSOM MD alumni, but those of you who graduated in years ending in “4″ or “9″ will want to make a special effort to come. Members of these 5-year anniversary classes will receive special recognition.
The final registration deadline is July 14, but don’t wait that long. It pays to be early because the price is just $65 for early birds who register by June 26. Children 3 – 13 are $30 and recent alumni and medical students (classes 2009 – 2018) pay only $50. Soon, we’ll give you the link to the (still under construction) reunion web page at RECONNECT 2014 for all the details, to see who’s attending, and to register online. In the meantime, you can act now by calling Elaine Evans at (808) 692-0991.
