It’s natural for medical students facing The Match to have doubts about their status, and maybe even their abilities. After all, there aren’t graduate medical education slots in North America for all the MDs seeking them.
Dr. Natalie Young Albanese, a graduate of the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) and Kamehameha Schools, reassures JABSOM students that they are well prepared.
Dr. Albanese headed for residency training in 2012 at the New York University’s residency program, and today, she still plans to return home to practice internal medicine when her post-MD training ends. Dr. Albanese answered the question, “did JABSOM prepare you well for your residency training?”, surrounded by her mother and father, in an interview videotaped on Match Day 2012 at JABSOM.
