The inaugural six-week Mini-Medical School debuted at the John A. Burns School of Medicine this past Spring, featuring a distinguished panel of inter-disciplinary speakers and drawing an audience of over 160 participants.

The subject matter, Healthy Aging, is important because, by the end of the next decade, 1/3 of Hawai`i residents will be 65 years or older. The Mini Medical School on Healthy Aging was developed by Dr. Virginia Hinshaw, UH Mānoa Chancellor Emeritus and JABSOM Professor of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology.
