Monday, July 14 was the first day of school for the John A. Burns School of Medicine’s newest class of MDs: the Class of 2018!
A few of the new students stopped by to chat, and introduce themselves, and give shout-outs to their loved ones. The class includes students from all across America, and even other countries, but nearly 90% of them are from right here in Hawaiʻi. The new class includes five from Hawai’i Island and one each from Kaua’i and Maui. The 66 members of the Class of 2018 were selected from 2,225 aspiring physicians who applied for admission to the University of Hawai’i medical school.
There is certain to be much in store for these young medical students as they begin their journey to becoming doctors. Welcome aboard, Class of 2018!
