5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The inspired voices of the Honolulu Boy Choir will set a festive holiday mood to greet Dean’s Circle donors at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) in the Medical Education Building. The evening affords an opportunity for Dean Jerris Hedges to say mahalo to those who provide significant financial support to benefit JABSOM.
One of JABSOM’s philanthropic funding priorities is to expand rural and neighbor island clinical training opportunties. This year, Dr. Malia Haleakala, MD Class of 2004, will speak about the impact JABSOM’s neighbor island clinical rotations had on her decision to practice emergency medicine in North Kohala on Hawai`i Island.
To join the Dean’s Circle, donors may make a gift of $1,000 or more annually or establish an endowment. Dean’s Circle gifts benefit a broad range of programs including student scholarships, research and curriculum support and faculty development at the University of Hawai`i’s medical school.
