Purpose First

Hawai‘i was selected by Complete College America (CCA) as one of four state teams to participate in a 24-month Purpose First initiative involving the development of best practice advising tools that encourage students to explore career aspirations early in their college years, integrates career and academic advising, and makes real-time, region-specific labor market data available to students. The initiative, funded by a $1 million grant from Strada Education Network, will enable students to pursue their college goals more purposefully and with confidence that their majors match their academic and personal strengths. They will also have a clearer understanding of future career opportunities.
