Chancellorʻs Award for Outstanding Service

This year’s recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Service is Jodi Mine, Budget Specialist, Office of Administrative Affairs.

The recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Service this year is always willing to share her knowledge of the Business Office functions.  She consistently provides valuable insight and assistance to those in need of help.  She works hard in the Business Office yet also finds time to contribute her invaluable talents to our college community.  She is a “crafty” person who has been called upon on numerous occasions to sew miscellaneous items such as kihei and sashes for the Hawaii Life Styles program, crocheted leis each year for the Student Recognition and Graduation events.  At most college-wide events and activities, she not only donates the beautiful foliage, but can produce wonderful floral arrangements ranging in all sizes.

She has served on many committees and her contributions have positively impacted the development of the college.  Some of the committees include College Council, CERC, Graduation, Student Recognition Ceremony, Accreditation, various screening committees, as well as serving as chair for various fund-drives such as the Hawaii Island United Way and Food Bank.

This recipient has offered her assistance at various Chancellor’s events such as the All-College meetings, BOR meetings, and receptions.  She is tireless and is always there to lend a hand even after normal working hours.  She is self-less, giving and eager to share her many talents.
