The Hālaulani Transfer Success Center held its first annual Kauaheahe Transfer Fair on November 8th, 2013 on the Manono Campus. UH Hilo, BYU – Hawaiʻi and the UH Mānoa – Hūlili Bridge Program were represented. Over 90 students were in attendance and gained valuable information about the transfer process, majors offered at the individual universities and other information. Kara Dumaguin, Transfer Counselor at West Hawaiʻi, brought over some students from our campus in West Hawaiʻi to participate in this event. Representatives from the Hoʻokele Program based at the Kīpuka Center for Native Hawaiian Students, at UH Hilo, were present as well.
Refreshments were provided for the students and the team at Hālaulani would like to send out a big mahalo to Starbucks, who provided coffee for the morning, Big Island Delights for providing a few goodies for the students to enjoy and to Jamba Juice for providing makana to give to the presenters. Overall, the event a huge success and the staff at Hālaulani would like to thank everyone who helped make it a success.
Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,
