Hawai‘i CC welcomes new development director

AndreaChristiansen_KauhaleHawai‘i Community College is pleased to welcome Andrea Christensen to our Kauhale. Andrea is with UH Foundation and is the Director of Development for Hawai‘i Community College and the region. Her office is in Hale Aloha 119 on the Hawai‘i CC campus in Hilo.

She will primarily focus on raising money for Hawai‘i CC programs and projects from donors and prospects on Hawai‘i Island, which means she will be traveling between Hilo, Kona, Kamuela, and more as she makes those visits. In addition, as a regional director, Andrea will be sensitive to donors who want to support the university in other areas beyond Hawai‘i CC.

Andrea joins us with more than 20 years of extensive fund development experience in major gifts from high-net worth individuals, strategic planning, annual and capital campaigns, external communications, and working with volunteers. She has also worked in grant management, event planning and more. She was most recently managing director of Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance (for four years) and director of development for Grand Teton National Park Foundation for four years previous to that.

Welina mai, Andrea!
